Senator Mark makes history, inaugurated for the sixth time

A former Senate president, Senator David Mark, made history on Wednesday, as he was inaugurated for the sixth time as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Senator Mark, who is currently the longest serving Senator, was given a heroic welcome as his colleagues, in an uncommon solidarity, gave him a standing ovation when he walked into the Senate chamber.
The former Senate President was naugurated at exactly 11:00am by Senate President Bukola Saraki after taking the traditional oath of office and oath of allegiance.
It will be recalled that Mark’s election was nullified by the Court Appeal, ordering a rerun of the election. He however came out victorious in the rerun election.
